This page answers some of the most common questions about this message board software. This section will be expanded in the future. If you have any further questions, please post them below and they will be addressed below.

What are "whispers"?

Whispers are discussion comments that only specific users can see--the user who made the comment, and the user he/she whispered it to. Usually, you'll leave the "Whisper" field blank when submitting a comment or discussion. However, if you only want a specific user on the forum to see it, then put his/her username in the Whisper field.

You can view whispers under "Discussion filters" in the left sidebar.

How to use Html tags?

Before you post a message, you have a choice to "format comments as" either Text or Html. If you select Text, it will merely post your comment, word for word, as you typed it. If you select Html, however, many other formatting options are available to you.

Below are some basic formatting options:

To emphasize text: <em>Text</em>

    Appearance: Text

To make text bold: <b>Text</b>

    Apperance: Text

To create a hyperlink, format as follows: <a href="URL" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Link Text</a>

Replace URL with the site's URL you want to link to, such as http://www.google.com, and replace Link Text with the text you want the link to appear as.

For example: <a href="http://www.collegechat.info" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">College Chat</a>

To create a list of items, use the following tags:
<ul>
<li>List item 1</li>
<li>List item 2</li>
<li>List item 3</li>
</ul>

    That would appear as:
  • List item 1

  • List item 2

  • List item 3

To underline text: <u>Text</u>

    Shows up as: Text

To create a header, use <h1>Text</h1>

You can replace the 1 with any number from 1-6. 1 shows up as the largest, 6 as the smallest.

    Here's an example of h3:

    Text

There are many other options available--if you know HTML, then you probably know some and can experiment, however these are the basics.

Hello,

Back in 1992, I graduated with 69 credits and earned a Business Systems Diploma. I am thinking in pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin. I need to know if I can apply my credits towards this degree. I was told by a close friend of mine that my credits that I earned are equivalent of 3 years in college? Is that correct? I am not sure. But if it is, that would be awesome. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get your first diploma, and where are you planning to attend? I would suggest calling up your future school and asking them, as this can depend on their specific policies.
